  • Amen!! It's the innocent lives who are wasted daily while those bastards sit in their offices in full security.

    Btw, I have that CoeXisT t-shirt!! ;)

  • to dishevelled and chic politika:
Where were you when buses were blown up? Where were you when restuarnts bombed? Where were you when they killed dozens in clubs? Where were you when they massacared the hotels?
You are so naive. Do you think the "bastards" don't want peace? Do you think they want bloodshed?
No. So, how would you negotiate with those who want to kill you? give up and letting them rule you? because that's exactly what the terrirsts want. To rule you. They said it so many times, but you didn't want to LISTEN. They don't want to negotiate.

  • Anon - huh!? All I'm saying is that people from nations all around the world are rallying for peace. They're sick of violence. I know I am. When I posted this I figured out that it's the governments that are violent, not the people. I know it's much more complicated than this, and a lot of things are involved, that's why I intended this post to be short and mostly picures. I don't want to discuss gov. issues with violence, they can all rot in hell for all I care, I'm sick of it all.

By Blogger dishevelled, at 14/7/06 3:34 PM

  • Calling for peace doesn't work.

The only ones listening to the call are those who don't war. But they are not the problem.

But if they stop fighting, war will not end. It will only be longer, more violent, and more decisive.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 14/7/06 3:58 PM

  • "When I posted this I figured out that it's the governments that are violent, not the people."

Lebanon's government is not very violent. It's the Hizbollah militia that did it.

The Israeli government did not respond to Hizbollah attacks for years. Another non-violent government.

Hamas' constant firing of missiles into Israeli villages and schools (!) can be called government action, if one ignores that Hamas were elected when they were technically illegal.

What makes you think that governments are the problem?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 14/7/06 4:12 PM

  • andrew,

Arab governments are bastards and weak, if they had any vision for their country, cared for the security and lives of their people, or a sane mind they would take action for these terrorist, militant organizations within their borders. Every government is responsible for any organization within its borders whether it recognizes it or not. How about disarming Hizbullah? Not giving them so much power? They are more powerful than the Lebanese army for God's sake!! Hamas, Hizbullah and the list goes on... until when??

By Blogger Chic Politika, at 15/7/06 2:05 AM

  • Andrew - I agree with what Chic said, and besides Lebanon's gov. allowing what happened, and no offense, but the United States. The American's oppose the violence and wars, they want their troops back. Mr. Bush is still deaf. Israel - their attacks are WAY out of proportion and they acted WAY to fast! All this destruction over 2 soldiers?! Their people are sick of violence too. And seeing that most countries follow what the US has to say or do, you catch the drift.

All I'm saying is people are sick of all this violence and war. I'm not saying it's gonna stop now. I'm not saying we can do much about it. But I have the right to complain and bitch about enough being enough! And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one around

  • first of all 7izb allah did not start this war, thsi war has been goin on for years now, since 1982 to be exact,u guys want peace, well how is there gona be peace if israel keeps bombin palastine, when will that stop, it was about time sumone spoke up and tried to put an end to this, 7izb alah actions might have been extreme, but extreme measures are what was needed. 3ashat al moqawama w 3ash lobnan

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 15/7/06 3:13 AM

  • Anon - No one ever won anything from war. I can't recall any country throughout history who benifited. You belived in violence, fine.

This post WAS NOT about lebanon in specific, I don't know why you assumed it was, so I don't want to go there.

  • Doesn’t it just suck when people automatically jump into conclusions are start bashing you! Both of you girls are right, it ain’t about borders o countries, the freggin violence has to stop, if the dumb@$$ leaders can’t the will of the people might, one day! One Fine Day!

7esballa, osama, 7amas, names which I have always had doubt in their cause n’ fights, bas the man is standing up to his country! If his government wants to stand still o neighboring countries keep having relations with Israel, it’ll never end. Cut’em off in their country o just stop all relations with them… they are cowards and this charade will not continue long, 7ezbolla mean “business” this time and it is sad and unfortunate that civilian causalities occur from this bas la7awla wala qowata ell bellah..

  • Oh, I just want to ask you Dishevelled, Why do you think Israel responded out of propotion? what would you do if another country host a militia that keeps attacking you, without any provokations from your side, and kidnap your soldiers to blackmail you in order to free murderers that they sent to kill your civilians?
what is your "propotionate" respond to that? free murderers?
I feel so bad for the people of Lebanon about all this destruction and the deaths of the innocents, but the truth is that the Lebaneas are responsible for what they have in their country, and we don't have any choice but to do everything in order to prevent such attacks on our teritorry. Apparently you don't know who is Hizballah. - asking the Hizballah to stop it and return our soldiers unconditionally, is pointless.
I'm sick of violence too, and I want the peace so bad. But you can't defend yourself without fighting back.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 21/7/06 4:22 PM

  • What's wrong with you people!?
I'm not choosing sides, nor am I justifying any sides actions!

kw - Please read the word and not just look at the arrangement of the religious symbols. And why is it wrong to have the Islamic Cresent next to the Star of David? It's like saying Muslims can't sit next to Jews. It's absurd. I'm not going to hate people just because of their race or religion -So yes I believe we can all coexist.

Anonymous - I'm not justifying Hizbulla's actions, but at this point I am DISGUSTED byond belief at Israel's actions. Take any country's view (excluding the US) and maybe you'll see another point of view than yours. The whole world is condemning Israel's actions except for Mr. Bush, but we all know that every decision he made since he was elected president was a complete disaster, and we all know he's just plain stupid. Go figure!

First of all prisoners of war are NOT murderers. It was WAR killing was part of it, the purpose really. And looking at the capabilities of the countries involved, these POWs were probably only defending themselves.

Second of all, yes the attack was out of proportion, no it can't be justified, and bombing places with civilians, the capital, the airport, causing people to be homeless, starving, have no electricity...seperating children from their parents, just burning a country down to ashes by bombing randomly and heartlessly - I'm sorry but Israel have proved to be even worse than any terrorist out there! How heartless can a country be!? And this year is the second or third time Israel kills UN troops! Seeing that these troops have been there since the 1970's it's believed that those attacks were intentional. So the hate and crime crossed from being "Hizbulla" or any militia, or even Lebanon. Right now, the world is certain Israel is the only murderer and criminal around!

In the begining I thought Israel would only restrict to the south, prove they were going to do some serious damage and back off. But the measures they took makes me sick! It's cowardly that they use the powers they have against civilians. Cowardly and shameful!

Boohoo one Israeli kid died!? What about the thousands of Lebanese kids who died and are wounded?! What about the thousands of Lebense kids who were seperated from their families, the thousands who are homeless and starving!? The Israeli's have bomb shelters, the Lebanese are in the streets. And what about those Israeli kids signing BOMBS to the Lebanese children!? Cowardly and shameless government - cowardly and shameless people! It's SICK and you can't argue that. I'm not even gonna read or argue back. Case closed!

By Blogger dishevelled, at 28/7/06 1:49 AM

  • Oh so you're closing you eyes and covering your ears. Good for you. Let your hatered guide you. THAT will surly bring the peace!
No, even if you do that, it won't change the truth.
I'm not surprised you don't want to continue with that. You just don't want to hear anything that might change your point of view.
You are really don't know anything about the Lebanese prisoners, do you? Let me introduce you one of them - Samir Quntar. This man crossed the border some years ago, ang killed a policeman, entered a house, killed a father and caused the death of a baby when the mother accidently suffocate the baby to silent him while hiding in the closet, and then he took the other daughter, a little girl, and while surrounded by the police he smashed her head to a rock to death (when he already knew that he stands no chance to escape). is that what you call "POW"??? is that what you call "self defense"? The Hizbullah "fighters" that were caught are treated by Israel as POWs. Not him and the other 2 Lebanese prisoners. They are murdererd by all laws in the world!
We have the right to defende ourselves and eliminate the threat of the Hizbollah, and you still didn't give me any solution to attack terrorists that, against all the war rules, hide in the civilian areas. Israel warned the civilians, just as the international law says.
And no, Lebanon hasn't got burned down to ashes. small parts of it, yes. Israel didn't bombed randomly. That was what Hizballah doing. Israel attacked places that Hizballah uses, and warned the civilians. These are the facts.
UN troops? some days before one of the UN troops got killed, he wrote a letter saying the Hizballah is firing rockets next to their position, while ignore and even threaten them. So yes it was by mistake.
Had Israel did what you thought it would do - "only restrict to the south, prove they were going to do some serious damage and back off" that would have been happen again, just like in 2000 when they kidnapped 3 soldiers and a civilian.
The kids that was signing shells? Come on! the hypocrisy at its best! Lebanese and Palestinians are raised to hate Israel and to praise the suicide bombers! With the books that show the ME without Israel. The shells are against the Hizballah, so no national hatered here. We don't hate Labanon, we want peace, AND we must defend ourself.

  • Anonymous, if you read what I said carefully you would have seen that I'm AGAINST Hizbulla's kidnapping of the two soldiers. But the way Israel handled the situation was insane. It's not that I close my eys to not alter my point of view, it's simple really, you punish someone who did something wrong by doing something even more wrong? 1000+ Lebanese CIVILIANS were murdered in this one month war, some 400+ injured, and only aobut 150 Israeli people died, mostly SOLDIERS. Israel also bombed all of Lebanon's infrastructure, cities were isolated, out of reach, people starving and dying. That's anything but humane so screw international law ( and by the way US law is NOT international law), and sine when was it internation law to bomb UN troops/base within a country? Twice? It's not. Lebanon spent 20 years building those infrastuctre that Israel destroyed in weeks. Another point you might wanna consider, how many Hizbulla members died!? Did Israel fight against what/who started the war? Not many and no! The only victim of this mass murder is Lebanese civilians and the Lebanese government. I'm not justifying any sides actions, for all I care, Hizbulla and Israel deserve each other, they can fight till none of them is left, and the world can be at peace! I don't want to discuss this anymore not because I'm escaping not because I don't want to change my point of view ( because I believe I gave every side the benifit of the doubt), and not because I can't answer, I'm simply sick of it... like I said, they deserve each other, to hell with everyone declaring war really.

    Bo_Sale7: Thanks :)

  • That anonymous guy sure is absurd and a bit dense. Dude, the girl is saying is she is not choosing sides and she’s against any actions of violence. And I agree with her. I think Hezbollah and Israeli militants army are terrorists and it is a joke if you think all Israel actions are defensive. If it's defensive then how come the deaths roll in both Lebanon and Palestine suppress those in Israel.

Way to go Dishevelled...that's was a good post ^_^

  • I know you're AGAINST Hizbulla's kidnapping of the two soldiers, but I want to defende my country's actions, since you don't know the facts. not about the Lebanese prisoners, not about the bombed infrastructure (much less than you said), not about the dead Hizballah members (over 500), not about the civilians got killed (well with all the lies like the one about Qana, even I don't know this), and not about the Lebanese government that refuse to disarm Hizballah, and still refuse to do so, even in the south.
I have a simple question for you - how would you defend someone that shoot rockets at you from a civilian areas?
